Founded in 1923 by William M. Strong, Sr. as a means
of evangelizing the military in Chile, GOSPEL MISSION OF SOUTH AMERICA
continues to evangelize the people of Latin America by means of itinerant
and localized work, with the object of establishing and developing indigenous
churches. The results have been greater than anticipated; the strong national
church, dedicated pastors and capable leadership are a proof of God’s
blessing. Bible Institutes, radio and TV ministry, Bible correspondence
courses, and camps support GMSA’s objective.
The Mission is enlisting dedicated men and women who
will go, pray and give to enlarge the work. Supplication, service and
sacrifice are needed so that the message of redemption might be presented
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Gospel Mission of South America is a foreign missionary
agency for the outreach of the Church in a missionary effort (Matthew
28:19-20). The Mission is baptistic in practice and fully cooperates
with other organizations of like doctrine. It is composed of believers
who unreservedly subscribe to its Doctrinal Statement and its Principles
and Practice.
